The Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety of the European Commission calls for scientific opinions on the use of TiO2 in cosmetic products. The questions that the SCCS will answer concern the safety of using titanium dioxide in cosmetics in the amount up to 25%, regardless of its function (as a UV filter or pigment).
